Tea farming is the major economic pillar in Kenya, positioning Kenya as the world’s major exporter of black tea. The visit to the farm give one a chance for an authentic tea farm experience and learn first how tea is cultivated, processed and ready for use

ITINERARY:

Pick up from your hotel in a comfortable 4×4 Land Cruiser to the Tigoni.

1. Welcome to the farm and briefing.

2. Field walk through the tea bushes and interaction with farmers

3. Tea tasting: Go through different grading and tea tasting exercises.

Activity 2: CHEESE FACTORY AND FARM

If you’re a cheese enthusiast, the Cheese Tasting Room is an absolute must-visit. Your experience at Brown’s begins with a warm welcome and a delightful snack, setting the stage for an informative cheese-making demonstration hosted by our experts. You’ll then embark on a fascinating tour of our production facility, including a visit to our cheese caves where thousands of cheeses mature using time-honored techniques. Following the tour, you’ll be treated to a cheese tasting extravaganza. Sample 8-10 of our artisanal cheeses, accompanied by homemade crackers, bread, and chutneys, perfectly complemented by a selection of our house wines. The culinary journey concludes with a seasonal light lunch featuring soups, salads, flatbreads, and a sweet finale with dessert and coffee. The Brown’s Cheese Tasting Room is open for visiting on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, on a reservation basis to ensure an unforgettable experience.
