Arrival and Journey to the Masai Mara

Upon arrival in Nairobi, you’ll be transferred to Wilson Airport for a scenic flight to the Kichwa Tembo Masai Mara Tented Camp. After a delicious lunch at the camp, meet your guide for high tea before heading out on an afternoon game drive. The rolling hills and vast plains of the Masai Mara are home to an abundance of wildlife. During the Great Migration, the sheer concentration of animals is awe-inspiring, and you’ll have the opportunity to spot the Big Five: buffalo, elephant, rhino, lion, and leopard.

Exploring the Mara and Balloon Safari

Each day brings new adventures with twice-daily game drives in open 4x4 vehicles. Enjoy night drives on the camp’s private concession, guided nature walks with a Maasai naturalist, and sundowners in a secret location offering panoramic views of the Mara.

On one of the mornings, wake early for an extraordinary hot air balloon safari over the Masai Mara. Glide over the reserve’s diverse landscapes—rivers, swamps, and forests—and watch the sunrise illuminate the plains. After landing, indulge in a champagne breakfast on the open plains, savoring the beauty of the African wilderness.

Farewell to the Mara

After a hearty breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to the Masai Mara. Transfer to Kichwa Airstrip for your return flight to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport. From there, you’ll be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward journey home, carrying with you memories of an unforgettable safari experience.
